A smell salt from the sea, The incoming tide of fall.
Leaves drop gently down and down A feel of warmth perspires
The cloudless sky above me A meteor makes a shower.
The sound of birds in the distance, Singing their lovely tunes
Fly away into the night As you ever so beautifully croon
The sights and sounds amaze me As I gaze into the dark Taking it all in, eye's shut I hear a distant bark
The city sleeps slumberly While I work the night
